Best Exmoor Boat Trips, Combe Martin, Exmoor National Park

The cliffs and bays lining the coastline from Minehead to Ilfracombe are spectacular. One of the best ways to see this part of South West England is by boat. We start with a trip to Lundy Island as it makes for a very special day out when on holiday in Exmoor.

The MS Oldenburg leaves from either Ilfracombe or Bideford. Depending on the weather, it takes roughly two hours to reach the island. Most people visit on a day trip from mainland Devon. Once you're there, we'd suggest you walk around the island. In years of photographing and researching the UK, listening to the seals calling at the north west end of the island has been one of the most impressive experiences.
