Dunster Beach, Dunster, Exmoor National Park
Vast low tide sand and stone beach in Blue Anchor Bay
Dunster Beach is a vast low tide sand and stone beach that backs onto pebbles. It lines a section of Blue Anchor Bay. There's plenty of parking behind the beach or easy access on the West Somerset Coast Path from Minehead. It's a great place to get away from the crowds. Minehead Beach is to the west and Blue Anchor Beach to the east.
Location of Dunster Beach
The eastern section of Exmoor National Park borders Minehead. The northern section of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty/AONB extends to the coast by West Quantoxhead, East Quantoxhead and Kilve. The coastline between Exmoor and the Quantocks is lined with beaches. Dunster Beach and Blue Anchor Beach are towards the centre of this stretch of coastline.
The West Somerset Railway and the A39 run behind Dunster Beach.
